Hugh Gorman

Chief Executive Officer

A recognized leader in Canadian real estate, Hugh is committed to helping clients get the best possible return from their invested capital. Over more than 25 years in the industry, he has dealt in every aspect of the real estate lifecycle, from investment and development to management and leasing.

Before becoming CEO of Colonnade BridgePort, Hugh was co-founder of BridgePort Realty Capital Partners. His career began at Canderel in 1991. From there, he advanced through progressively senior positions at  Camdev, O&Y Properties and finally Oxford Properties, where he was Vice President Industrial, Canada, and Vice President Global Principal Investment.

An award-winning contributor to the Canadian real estate and business communities, Hugh has served as president of both BOMA Ottawa and BOMA Canada. He also spent two years on the BOMA International Executive Committee.

Kyle Larkman

Kyle Larkman

Chief Financial Officer

As Chief Financial Officer, Kyle oversees all aspects of finance, accounting, and administration at Colonnade BridgePort. A strategic thinker with a keen interest in enhancing internal platforms through technology and innovation, he takes time to understand and implement new tech as it pertains to conveying important information to clients. Previously at Colonnade BridgePort, Kyle served as Controller, and then as Director, Finance and Corporate Services where he played an instrumental role in the successful integration of Colonnade and BridgePort following the 2016 merger.

Before joining the Colonnade BridgePort team, Kyle was the Assistant Controller for IFS (formerly MXI Technologies), and prior to that he was a Senior Accountant at leading accounting firm, Deloitte & Touche, where he received his CA and CPA certifications. Kyle also holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from Carleton University in Ottawa.

Mark White

Executive Vice President, Leasing & Business Development

Mark White is a widely respected commercial real estate professional who has been instrumental in the expansion of Colonnade BridgePort’s property management portfolio from 850,000 square feet to its current size of almost 9 million square feet of assets under management. In his role as Executive Vice President, Leasing and Business Development, Mark is responsible for execution of leasing, marketing, and business development, ensuring the activities of these teams are driven by client needs and objectives.

Mark’s ability to create value from unique and interesting opportunities is one of his strongest qualities, and has been the backbone of his 30-year career, which includes the leasing of more than 2.5 million square feet of new design/build facilities, more than 3 million square feet of public sector lease transactions, and more than 10 million square feet of private sector lease transactions. Mark is passionate about family, sports, and contributing to his community in meaningful and long-lasting ways. As Director on the Foundation Board of Elizabeth Bruyere Hospital, Mark has been responsible for the raising of hundreds of thousands of dollars for Alzheimer’s disease and Dementia research.

Ian Boake

Executive Vice President, Special Projects

With over 35 years of experience, Ian’s reputation in the world of commercial real estate is second to none. He is a highly valued member of the senior leadership team at Colonnade BridgePort, and in his current role as Executive Vice President, Special Projects, Ian leverages his wide global network and deep industry expertise to help build the business. 

Ian has been directly involved in commercial real estate as a broker, investor, developer, and real estate services provider, focusing on major markets across Canada. Prior to joining Colonnade BridgePort, Ian held leadership positions at many major firms, including Jones Lang Lasalle, Oxford Properties, Enterprise Property Group and Cushman & Wakefield (formerly DTZ Canada). During his tenures, he has transacted over $3.8 BN worth of leasing and sales transactions. Prior to the merger with Colonnade, Ian was a Principal of BridgePort Realty Capital Partners through its formative years, leading its expansion into the Greater Toronto Area. Ian has also participated on various boards over the years, such as BOMA Toronto, NAIOP, Scarboro Golf & Country Club, Royal St. George’s College, Cancer Ontario, and North York Harvest Food Bank.

Justin George

Senior Vice President and Head of Development

Justin leads Colonnade BridgePort’s development business, drawing on his experience leading complex large-scale developments in Canada and around the world. His passion for utilizing innovative new technology, along with his expertise in environmental, social and governance development practices, can be seen in the company’s transformative approach to developing properties that enhance the lives of tenants and the cities in which they live and work for decades to come.

Justin has been a proud Ottawa resident since relocating from the UK in 2010. Before joining Colonnade BridgePort he was a Partner with another Ottawa-based real-estate company, leading operations and development. Prior to that, he held project management, consulting and senior leadership roles with international EPC and development firms, working on high-profile, transformative projects in major cities throughout Canada, the United States and UK.

His commitment to community building can be seen in his volunteer service as a Member of the Operations Committee at Ottawa’s Innovation Centre at Bayview Yards and providing advisory services for Perley Health, a non-profit organization with over 600 long-term units and apartments for seniors and veterans.

Ron Matheson

Vice President, Property Management

With over 20 years of experience, Ron is a multi-disciplined real estate professional who leads Colonnade BridgePort’s Commercial and Residential property management teams. As a proven leader and trusted industry expert, Ron oversees the day-to-day execution of client asset strategies in both the Toronto and Ottawa markets.

Ron honed his real estate skills on the institutional side with Minto and Standard Life before transitioning to the private side with Progeny, which later became BridgePort Realty Capital Partners. At BridgePort, he served in various operational and leadership capacities, contributing to the overall growth of the company’s portfolio. Ron is a graduate of the University of Western Ontario and is an active member in numerous industry organizations, including BOMA. He also volunteers with the Royal Ottawa Foundation for Mental Health, where he assists with fundraising.
