CBP Recognized in ENERGY STAR® 10th Anniversary Challenge
CBP is pleased to be recognized in the 5-9 buildings category for building managers as part of the ENERGY STAR 10th Anniversary challenge.
By embedding environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles into our strategy, policies, and practices, Colonnade BridgePort creates lasting value for the properties we manage and enhances long-term investment performance for our clients. This commitment ensures our business not only thrives today, but also contributes positively to the future of our communities.
Respect for each other and our planet begins with a solid foundation. That’s why we focus on the inside – fostering a culture of responsibility and integrity among our employees and within our operations. We do this by prioritizing the health, well-being, and equitable development of our team; as well as incorporating environmentally-friendly practices into our daily operations.
This foundation allows us to extend our positive impact outward, engaging with and supporting our broader communities in meaningful and sustainable ways.
With our inside out approach, we ensure that our ESG efforts are authentic, impactful, and enduring.
Our approach to ESG is rooted in harmony. We believe our relationship with the planet, our interactions with each other, and the ethics guiding our business conduct are interconnected. By nurturing these connections, we create a sustainable and thriving environment for everyone.
We are committed to enhancing the communities where we live, work, and play. We achieve this by supporting local charities, fostering a strong and inclusive environment for our CBPeople (our team), and building lasting relationships with our clients and investors.
Together, we make a positive impact

The latest on sustainability at Colonnade BridgePort.
CBP is pleased to be recognized in the 5-9 buildings category for building managers as part of the ENERGY STAR 10th Anniversary challenge.
Colonnade BridgePort, along with building-owner Fiera Real Estate, recently completed the replacement of the gas-powered HVAC system at 450 March Road with electric resistance heaters, virtually eliminating CO2 emissions and earning the Zero Carbon Building™ Certification from Canada Green Building Council.
With the HVAC system at 450 March Road reaching end-of-life, Fiera Real Estate and Colonnade BridgePort identified an opportunity to reduce the building’s carbon footprint, choosing to replace the two existing fossil gas-powered roof top units (RTUs) with electric resistance heaters, in an effort to dramatically reduce associated greenhouse gas emissions.
On behalf of institutional clients, Colonnade BridgePort is proud to have received globally recognized ENERGY STAR certification at six properties for their exceptional energy performance. The scores of these properties puts them in the top quartile of buildings in Canada for energy performance.
“I’m a huge believer in giving back to the community,” said Sue. “Habitat is important to me because everyone deserves a safe, clean space to call home. What I also feel is very important is that it is a hand-up not a hand-out. All partner families must put in time (500 hours) towards building their own home, and ultimately building their future.”
Congratulations to our dedicated management teams and committed owners at Colonnade BridgePort managed assets for achieving full BOMA BEST certification in 2023, recognizing their outstanding performance in energy and environmental management.
