Coronavirus Update (COVID-19)

OTTAWA, March 2020 — At Colonnade BridgePort we believe it is our responsibility during this time to prioritize our response to 1) ensuring the health and well-being of our employees and tenants, while 2) protecting the integrity of the assets that are in our care on behalf of our clients. We also have a role to play in containing the spread of the virus in our community by supporting local health officials and government leaders, by following their recommendations. Through that lens, we will continue to make decisions informed by the latest science-based information, guidance from health authorities, and guided by our purpose – to inspire people to enhance communities.

Colonnade BridgePort will remain operational and for all intent and purpose, it will be “business as usual”. Having said that, we are implementing a number of policies designed to promote social distancing and to reduce the risk of exposure in everyone’s day-to-day role:

A mandatory remote work program is being implemented for all office staff. We are fortunate to have the tools and technologies in place to enable our staff to do their jobs effectively, regardless of their physical location.
Social distancing measures will be implemented at our managed facilities for the safety of those employees who cannot take their work home with them
Increased cleaning and disinfecting practices are being employed across all our locations and managed properties
All work-related travel and face-to-face meetings are being suspended.
Our managed properties remain open for business; however, it is up to our clients and tenants to determine individual operating hours based on their business needs.

As part of our pandemic preparedness protocol, we have established a Steering Committee, which meets daily to coordinate efforts across our portfolio. Our additional efforts to help keep our communities safe include the following actions:

Enhanced Cleaning
We have implemented enhanced cleaning protocols in all our managed properties, specifically in:

Washrooms
Stairwells
Elevators /lobbies/common areas
Personal Hygiene Best Practices
We have installed hand washing and hand rubbing signage in all of our managed properties and have increased hand sanitizer stations, where products are available, across our portfolio to help reduce the spread of germs.

Reporting Procedures
We have set up reporting protocols for employees, tenants and contractors to report cases of COVID-19 so that we can contact the appropriate jurisdictional health authorities and take direction from them regarding appropriate measures to mitigate the spread of the virus.

We will continue to monitor this situation closely and provide updates as the situation evolves.
