Hot on the heels of the announcement that one of Ottawa’s most iconic retail spaces has been leased, Colonnade BridgePort is pleased to announce it has been awarded the property management mandate of the building that houses it.
99 Rideau/60 George is a privately-owned 30,000 sq.ft., two-storey building, stretching between Rideau Street and George Street. Containing first floor retail and second floor office, the building was home to the infamous Rideau St. McDonald’s for almost 40 years. Vacated by the fast-food chain in May 2023, it was recently announced that an Asian restaurant will be moving into the revitalized space later this year.
The remainder of the building is currently fully occupied, with key retail tenants fronting George St., Tim Horton’s fronting Rideau St., and long-time tenants occupying the second-floor office space.
“We are eager to collaborate with the owner to meet their business objectives and to maintain the legacy of this iconic property,” said Property Management Director Lynn Heaston. “As well, we are committed to ensuring tenants have what they need to be successful.”
The mandate took effect on March 1.
